ATTORNEY PROFILES

ELIZABETH A. BUCHWALTER

Ms. Buchwalter received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg in 2013 and her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 2017. She is licensed to practice in Florida and the United States Federal Court for the Southern District of Florida. Prior to law school, Ms. Buchwalter stayed her collegiate studies to work as the youngest field director in Florida on a presidential campaign. During her time at Stetson, Ms. Buchwalter was a brief writer for Stetson’s Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot competition team and competed at a statewide pre-moot in which her team received first place. Ms. Buchwalter was also a member of Stetson’s award-winning Dispute Resolution Board and assisted Stetson’s nationally renowned Trial Team. Ms. Buchwalter remains involved with Stetson Law as a mentor for 1L students through Stetson’s mentorship program and provides feedback to Stetson’s Advocacy Board members during practices. Before joining Thompson Miller, Ms. Buchwalter worked as a consumer protection attorney, litigating high volume automobile dealership and repair shop fraud cases, which often involved appellate advocacy. She has a number of published appellate opinions. Ms. Buchwalter now brings her litigation experience to Thompson Miller’s first party property defense team.
